Judicial Integrity
Our judges must uphold the express language of the US and Utah Constitutions. As a constitutional attorney, I will rigorously vet judicial appointees to ensure they respect and apply the Constitution, interpret laws faithfully, and serve justice without judicial activism or bias.
Our senators rubberstamped judges and confirmed without properly vetting. That's how we got stuck with Proposition 4 and a near-guaranteed Democrat in Congress for SLC. We need a Senator ready to ask tough questions that reveal each appointees' judicial philosophy and a Senator who will vote to reject bad appointees. The Constitution is the bedrock of our Republic. We need to defend it at all costs, not re-elect those who fell asleep at the wheel.
Tax Reform and Lower Taxes
Utah families and businesses deserve to keep more of their hard-earned money. I will pursue lowering taxes and reforming our tax system to make it simpler, fairer, and more efficient—putting money back in your pockets and fueling economic growth. Our government shouldn't be taxing the very activities in which we want our people to engage—earning income and owning property. By shifting to a sales and use tax based system, our citizens will see the taxes they pay more often and will elect representatives who will decrease the tax burden on our people. We should not have to pay rent to government to live here.
Making Utah Homes Affordable
Utah families are struggling with rising housing costs. The young can't afford to buy here and our seniors struggle to pay an ever-increasing property tax payment. Inspired by freedom loving economists, Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell, I support free-market solutions that increase organic supply and reduce barriers without eliminating community standards.
Excessive regulations and slow permitting drive up prices by limiting new construction. We'll streamline zoning and approvals to encourage more homes—low- to medium-density housing, not high-density—while preserving Utah's character.
By cutting red tape, enabling organic private development, and trusting market forces, we can lower costs, expand choices, and make homeownership achievable again for Utahns.
